Justin Martyr answered the Romans objection to Christianity by writing his Apologies. Justin’s Apology 2 to the Romans shows how Christians make better citizens of Rome than do other Romans because of their reason and virtues. Justin gives a thorough discussion of Christian virtues of not being afraid to die and their truthful nature. And he also discusses their belief in the Logos as being Christ and that Christians are definitely not atheist he shows reasonable objections to the Roman’s beliefs concerning Christians. Justin says that Christians are not afraid to die when faced with imminent death due to persecution. They are not afraid of death because they know where they will be going when they die. They will not fight or run or hide somewhere to avoid the hangman’s noose or the executioner’s axe. They know Christ and have a personal relationship with their Saviour. Justin even says in Chapter 11 of his Apology 2, â€Å"we give thanks when we pay this debt.† (Justin, p 81, ch. 11) He is saying that death is â€Å"a debt due each person who has been born.† (Justin, p81, Ch. 11) He says citizens that do not have this same belief as the Christians would want to continue living the way they were in debauchery and not die. (Justin, p. 82, ch 12) This is but one way that Christians make better citizens of Rome. In the summer of 2014, 40 of the top female soccer players in the world announced that they are taking a stand against FIFA and the CSA (Canadian Soccer Association), stating that they are prepared to file a lawsuit against the companies. The tension throughout this lawsuit has been building for many years now. At the heart of the argument is the fact that next year’s women’s world cup is planned to take place on artificial turf instead of real grass. (McIntyre 2014). Gender inequality/discrimination is to deny equal rights to one group of people based on their gender. (Bonvillain and Miller 2013: 42). Based on this definition, the women have a very solid case. Forcing the female players to play on the turf field, while the men play on real grass that costs more to uphold and take care of, is treating them inadequately and less important* than the male soccer players. Continuing the trend in our society of male dominance. The anger of the female soccer players is not solely based on the fact that their male counterparts play on grass and them on turf, but more so that organizations such as FIFA and the CSA treat them this way on a constant basis. More money is required to replace and maintain a soccer field made of grass, to have it looking up to par after every game. During the Song Dynasty, there were changes in the scholarly elite. This includes scholar officials and everyone who held examination degree or candidates of the civil service examination. The elite would usually call themselves shi or shidafu, which is a term used since classical times to mean scholar-gentleman and scholar-official. The examination system played a central role in the fashioning of these new elite. This was mainly because the Sony dynasty was afraid and concerned of domination of the government by military men. The number of those passing the highest examinations soon averaged four to five times the number in Tang dynasty. Scholars needed to put greater effort into perfecting the examinations. Through this system, a large percentage of officialdom was recruited from families living in central and southern China. During this time, the Song scholar-officials and examination candidates were better educated and less aristocratic in their habits. Following the ideas of Confucianism, Song scholar-officials viewed themselves as highly high-minded figures whose responsibility was to keep greedy merchants and power-hungry military men in their place. Neo-Confucianism also became well known with Zhu Xi as one of the most influential philosophers. Neo- Confucianism is a modified version of Confucianism which incorporates values from other belief systems. During the twelfth century, Zhu Xi combined Confucianism with ideas from Buddhism and Taoism even though the Song dynasty argued that Buddhism offered little philosophy. Zhu Xi also created a series of works that became the code of behavior. The Song Dynasty witnessed agricultural and technological improvements. Agriculture plays a big role in China. Improvements in agriculture would improve the life and social interests of others. The growth of economic activities leaded to progresses in many fields of science and technology. Firstb buck Essay This past fall I was presented with the opportunity to go deer hunting in the Upper Peninsula, something I never done before. Since I was to be living here for the next eight months, I figured that I may as well take advantage of my situation, get out into the wilds and persue one of my favorite game animals, the cunning By the middle of September I figured that I had better get busy and find a place to hunt as the season was rapidly approaching. After several failed scouting attempts and uneventful hikes in the deer woods, I finally decided on a stand location near Goose Lake that was surrounded by a fair amount of sign. I choose an old maple tree that over looked a runway heading into a clear-cut containing succulent grasses and buds. From the numerous piles of deer pellets it was apparent that the deer were feeding in the cutting. However unnecessary, I took two bags of apples and two of carrots, and spread them thoroughly in front of my stand. Hopefully the bait would help to channel the deer down the runway and past my stand. I then planned to return to the spot in one week to check the wait and hang Upon the passing of one week I returned to find the area ripped up with deer sign and all of the bait gone. I hadnt expected this positive of a response and I was more than happy to deposit four more bags of bait about my tree. I then carried my aluminum tree-stand about twenty feet up the knotty old tree and hung it on the maple behind two pines that would help the conceal my location. I was now ready for the upcoming season which was not more than tree days away. I was anxious to return to my little set-up with my bow and see how the spot was going to produce.I sat there that first night covered head to toe in my camouflage enjoying the squirrels antics, listening to the breeze, and wondering why there were no deer passing through my neck of the woods. Darkness quickly set inn and I left the stand a little puzzled by still hopeful. The next night I climbed into my stand with renewed hope and I could just sense that something was going to happen. Within the last forty minutes of shooting light I noticed a gray form approaching form directly in front of me at about twenty five yards. As I studied the deers head for antlers it closed the distance to fifteen yards. I clenched my bow tightly land felt for the string as I realized the deer was wearing two long spikes. The young buck put his nose to the ground and inspected the area for any unnatural oders. As the buck paced the area back and forth, he was keeping a small line of brush between us making it impossible for me to take a clan shot. All I could think about was how I needed the deer to step into an opening or else he would walk away unscathed. I sat there helplessly watching and waiting and hoping. Finally before he walked out of range and behind more brush that was thicker yet, he stepped into a lane and I steadily drew my Darton to full draw. I then placed my sight low and tight behind the bucks front shoulder. As I exhaled a deep breath, I released my Easton shaft and it zipped right through the deer. The deer jumped slightly as if it had waked into a fence and then just looked around trying to find the source of the noise that my bow had made when I released. The buck then simply waked under a pine tree, staggered a bit, and then laid down to its final slumber. I was amazed by the deers reaction, it didnt even know that it was hit. It was then that I truly appreciated all of the hours that I had spent practicing last summer. As I clambered down and claimed my trophy I was thankful that I had come to the U.P., elsewise I might have missed out on some of Michigans finest hunting opportunities.Bibliography:

These are usually separated into 3 parts that make up a greater whole in the book.For example, in the book Im currently writing, I break it up into 3 separate sections. Each part has its own focus and theme but they all work with one another to achieve a greater purpose.Heres an example of how the sections of my book work:Part 1 This part focuses on how your childhood impacts your adult behaviorsPart 2 This part aims to show readers how to move past their childhood and get control of their nowPart 3 This section moves beyond getting control and focuses on how readers can work toward building the future they both want and deserve despite their childhood traumasEach part of this book has a main focus and theme but when utilized together, they form a solution to a larger problem.#12 Act structureIn fiction, instead of creating separate sections like in the example above, you may split your work into differen t acts.Most commonly used is the three act structure.Although this isnt required of novels, its still quite popular to write a book with this structure, as it forms a cohesive order of events thats proven to be intriguing to readers.A popular example of this 3 act structure is in Sabaa Tahirs An Ember in the Ashes, featured below.#13 First slapIf youre familiar with our lingo around how to write a novel, or youre a student already, you may have heard of the first and second slap.These are pivotal points in your characters journey that further the plot and often make their efforts more difficult.The first slap is often the biggest setback for your character following the inciting incident.Here are some examples of what a first slap is in popular stories:Katniss entering the hunger games after trials and testsBella finding out Edward is a vampire in TwilightTobiass first challenge in the tournament in The Saviors Champion by Jenna MoreciAll of these have one thing in common: they mak e the lives harder for the characters.#14 Second slapLike the first slap, the second slap is a pivotal point in the novel where your character faces a downfall, most often after having a win or two under their belt since the first slap.The second slap needs to be placed shortly after your readers have gained hope in your characters ability to succeed in whatever their goal is.The idea behind this is to hook your readers again and let them know that it is not all smooth sailing for your characters throughout the rest of the book.Oftentimes, the second slap is worse than the first, where 90% of your characters hope in succeeding is lost and therefore, your readers will lose hope too. This makes them root for your character even more, increasing the amount they care for your character.#15 ClimaxWe all know the climax of the book is the most important part.
